yet. Yeah, I realize I haven’t posted in a month, maybe longer, I get it. It’s just that I hurt my fucking knee and haven’t been able to ride a bike or indoor trainer without considerable pain for awhile now, so I’m mostly just ignoring biking and pretending it doesn’t exist. Fox and the grapes type shit. Will return to my usual babble once I’m riding again.

Most people love their stuff, but have heard anecdotally their warranty isn’t always what you’d expect from gear in their price range, so YMMV. A buddy from the Bay Area sent me this vid this AM (fast forward to ~2:30 to avoid boring roadie vid). Not only do they both get plowed down by the Integra, but the guy guns it and gets the fuck outta dodge. WTF?!?! I’m trying to figure out how someone goes that far off the road and is so oblivious that they don’t swerve back into the road instinctively after feeling the first thump (look at his front tire, it doesn’t swerve back towards the road til after going waaaay into the lane to get rider #2). It almost seems as if were done on purpose, which wouldn’t surprise me given the blasé attitude given to anyone but yourself in the Bay Area.

I don’t think the perps have been caught yet, but I’d imagine with the HD vid they could get the plates off this one, and I hope there’s a special lube free moment waiting for these guys in jail.

POC Trabec Helmets on Sale

Saw that the POC Trabec helmet is 50% at HnR. Pretty good deal on a quality lid, though it definitely has a ‘love it or hate it’ style that’s not for everybody. Personally I love it and would have picked one up were they this price when I was in the market for a new dome protector!

Ok, this is a cool twist on mountain biking. Yeah, it’s not your usual high-speed/flow type vid, instead blurring the lines between trials and AM. Between the melding of two of my favorite pastimes, the ‘Bambi on ice’ line around 1:06, and the consequences of a fall this vid delivers.
